Each specimen contains between 2 and 3 flaws
(mainly cracks but other defects will include lack of fusion, slag etc)
Full set comprises 16 specimens - 40 real flaws - sturdy storage case
Each specimen is supplied with CAD drawing which details the ‘flaw truth’
Flaw accuracy +/- 0.08” / 2mm
No two specimens in the set are the same - all sets are unique
Calibration notches can be added at extra cost
Blank specimens (if required) same size as above are available at 30% less
Custom sets can be supplied to meet industry specific configurations

Specimen design - flaw number and distribution will be as required by ASME XI Appendix VII
